My baby turned 1 year!

Last week, my baby was 1! 1 year already that little Pearl is part of my life and that we are a family of 4. It seems that last week she came among us, and fragile ... she was a mini! Time has really passed very quickly!

My opinion:
This is a moment that this book was in my PAL, I had bought her output, but I could not bring myself to read it, so I told myself that arranging joint reading would be a good motivation.
And now I wonder why I did not read earlier. I very quickly and with undisguised pleasure.

First, the story changes a bit since we are dealing with fallen angels rather than vampires and werewolves other (qui sont tout aussi charmant bien entendu).
Nora est une jeune fille ordinaire qui va faire la connaissance de Patch, qu'elle trouve mystérieux, voire même presque dangereux. Et pourtant, elle ne peut s'empêcher de s'intéresser à lui.

J'ai beaucoup aimé ces deux personnages, Nora est attachante, intelligente et plutôt courageuse. Patch est séduisant et mystérieux, parfois même trop, j'aurais aimé en savoir un peu plus sur son compte un peu plus tôt dans l'histoire.
A l'inverse, je n'ai pas du tout apprécié Vee, la meilleure amie de Nora, que j'ai trouvé superficielle, naïve et parfois même stupide.

The story is quite well done, although some situations are more predictable and even though I had found the culprit long before the author reveals it to us.

What I did not like: the scene where Nora meets Patch, which is strangely reminiscent of another saga. And the fact that Nora is repeated incessantly that it should not seek to patch, so we see very well from the start that she has feelings for him, after a while it gets boring.

So overall it is a book that I liked and then I read with pleasure!

Back to work: Mini-review

Already two weeks have passed since my return to work. Two weeks that I reconciling as best I can my time between myself, my love, my children, my family, my friend (s), hobbies, my work, my hobby, my passion and my work.

I'm very happy these last days I finally realized that the work-family balance is largely a matter of adaptation and selection. When a new element into the equation of an hour, a day or a week in the case of a return to work for example, it is to adapt to the new reality by finding ways or tips to facilitate certain tasks and to select, in order of preference, where one wants to spend time.

I also learn to live the present moment more than ever and keep a positive attitude every day. By the time I'm with my kids, I try to always enjoy it. I'm going to essentially because I realize that is not redundant always necessary, even if it is fun!

I am aware that to work part time or 4 days a week allows me to have a day all to myself, to fill some of my personal needs. This probably means that I found more easily, a beginning balance in my work-family balance.

However, I do not underestimate the preparation that I did, so I returned to work as pleasant as possible!

Since my return to work, time is much rarer. All those who combine work and family know! Today I realized I could choose to take the time , my time, simply.

In fact, it became evident tonight when I was practicing my daughter to climb the stairs alone. It always takes longer when it goes up the stairs herself and I sometimes think that we would get there quicker if I had took her in my arms.

My opinion:
I really enjoyed If I stay, I had very attached to Mia and Adam and their story really touched me. Also, when I a "suite" was available, I did not hesitate a single second.

This time we saw the story from the perspective of Adam, he became a rock star well known, it is rich and can have anything he wants, he goes out with a pretty actress, and yet it is far from happy. His life is not what he wants and what it is since three years ago, Mia is a party and never returned.
But one evening while he is traveling alone to empty the mind, it falls on a concert poster of Mia held the same evening. On a whim he decided buy a ticket and go listen play. At the end of the concert, Mia learns that he is in the room and did lead to his lodge. They will then spend the night walking around New York and discuss. We find our heroine, Cat Crawfield, 4 years after the end of Volume 1, where she had joined under duress, the special FBI unit that fights vampires, and Bones left in order not to endanger. This does not mean she has forgotten ...
And Bones (sigh) having promised him this: "If you run away, I will pursue. And I'll meet you ...", surprising therefore to see our two protagonists together again! And Cat being pursued by powerful vampire, who better than Bones to assist and watch his back?!

Friday - Thanks maternity

On the first Friday of 2011, here is my traditional Friday gratitude Thanks / Gratitude Friday ( origin) of 1 st Friday of each months. A few days before my return to work, my maternity leave ends today.

The last 50 weeks has been magnificent as a whole. Despite the difficult events that I experienced, I realize I have accomplished many things for my delight. So to finish this issue off in style, I chose to honor him today.

So I say thank you to my maternity leave because ...

- it allowed me to host my little pearl of love and learn to know and learn quietly at our own pace

- I read several books very interesting various topics

- I started running and I ran 10km in 2 events, either Montreal Marathon ; and the Classic Parc Lafontaine

- I took the time to the nursery with truancy my son during the 4 months of summer to enjoy my last summer on maternity leave

- it allowed me to accept quietly traces of life on my body

- I developed and released my creativity in several ways, including the Journal found via Creative Creative Retirement well as Getaway Creative and sewing

- I took holiday with my boyfriend on the beach

- I took the time to cook new recipes

- it me helped develop new friendships via my blog, the Evening Jasette and Goodness and the day-conference blogging Fair

- it allowed me to try the bios baskets

However, the most important of all, thank you to my maternity leave because I really learned to live the present moment !

My opinion:
Warning! spoiler
After moyennenment enjoyed the first two volumes in this series that I found too light and not enough depth, I noticed a small improvement with the third volume. So when Elodesigns offered me to lend me one I accepted.

Well I'm pretty disappointed, although I was not expecting something exceptional in view of other volumes and other saga of this writer (Diary of a Vampire).

Enocre once was a story really too light, too teenager writing for my taste.
The heroine, Gillian, despite having narrowly escaped death only interested in one thing: to be popular and become a "star" high school. She let herself be guided by the Angel who helps change his appearance: he told her to cut her hair and the dress is black. And of course
Gillian becomes from that moment the girl noticed most of the school, which runs after all the boys ... she was so transparent that nobody knew ... it all just by cutting her hair and dressed only in black. In short the thing totally superficial rather unlikely and fairly uninteresting.

Again, the basic idea was good: Gillian dies, and meets an angel comes to life accompanied by the angel who eventually turns out not to be so good ... but not LJ Smith did a story flat and uninteresting.

This series will stop here for me then, and this time for good.

- This man is of course a demigod and obviously had a life and a terrible childhood, he is hated by his family, never had any friends and is doomed never to be loved ( if not it sad that ...)

- A woman, Grace Alexander, a sexologist, but it has no sex life, which has had only one lover to 29 years and has obviously never had an orgasm (and guess who is going to give 6 as a result? hey hey)

- So a woman, very down to earth, who never believed in what her best friend, Selena made her life: clairvoyance and fortune-telling but that swallows without flinching a guy landed a book for him serve as a sexual object.

- A man and a woman thus condemned to live together and are longing for 1 month without ever being able to satisfy their desire.

Sarah Dearly, Volume 2: Addicted - Michelle Rowen - Milady Publishing - 362 pages

My opinion:
I was impatient to see Sarah and her new life as a vampire in this second and I do 'm not disappointed. It is quite the height of the first: Mordue.

I found the same ingredients that made me love the first volume: humor, sarcasm, action, sexy men (yes this is important) and a good plot . The perfect mix for a good time!

Here we find Sarah, and Thierry her boyfriend, sexy vampire, very secret, six hundred years old. It just opened a new club the "Refuge", after former has been the scene of carnage in the first volume. Sarah Thierry is still more distant and withdrawn than usual and wants to know what it hides.
It is also in danger because the rumors he forged a reputation as "Slayer of Slayers," meaning hunters, as you say they are all after her. But they are not alone, as the ancient vampire who got wind of these rumors, want to know who is behind this reputation.

There are also beautiful Quinn, a former hunter becomes a vampire and love our Sarah (in fact I prefer it to Thierry) who sometimes tries to take advantage of the situation.

The suspense is to go and wondering until the end that's after Sarah and scatters all over corpses in the streets. The story is well done and we do ask one thing: the sequel!
